iTero Digital Scanner

Digital scanners are used to create digital dental impressions through a much less invasive process than traditional dental impressions—that require mold trays and impression material (alginate) to sit in your mouth.

How do iTero Scanners work?
The scanner projects a light source onto the area of your teeth to be scanned. Images of the scanned teeth are captured by imaging sensors and are processed by scanning software, that produces a 3D surface model of your teeth.

What are the benefits of using iTero Scanners?
Patient Comfort—Creation of digital impressions is significantly more comfortable for the patient
Time Efficient—Digital impressions require less time than traditional impressions
No Wait Time—Resulting dental impressions are available the moment they are captured
